Dear Ms. Anderson,
How are you? I recently read that you’re trying, along with PETA, to get KFC’s founder’s bust removed from the Kentucky state capital. Good luck with that!
I’m writing to ask you a favor. The songstress Mary J. Blige is being targeted by animal rights activists because she wears fur. She’s less than receptive to the criticism. I figured that since you do “Viva Glam” ads for M.A.C. cosmetics, and she does as well, maybe you know her. If you do, that’s great! You could bring the subject up delicately in conversation, suggest some stylish alternatives for her. Maybe she has already said, “Pam, I know about you and the furry critters. Do not lecture me.” In this case you’ll have to be more subtle. But be persistent. She’ll come around. If I were her, I would rather hear criticism from a friend like you than get paint thrown on me any day.
Speaking of PETA, I’ve been told that they put down large numbers of companion animals each year. Not that you’re their PR guy or anything, but can you tell me anything about that? If it’s true I think you should go solo or make your own foundation, PATA, Pam Anderson’s Thankful Animals.
Truly,
Liz Mann
