Dear Sirs and Madams:
I am writing to express my disappointment at hearing that you are attempting to fire Austin High teacher Tamara Hoover for appearing in topless photos online. I find it puzzling that you are going so far as to try and take away her teaching credential. I can think of few things that are less offensive than posing for topless photos.
There is harm, however, in terminating this teacher’s employment due to conduct that has nothing to do with her teaching. You will be robbing the students of a quality teacher while at the same time sabotaging said teacher’s livelihood. You will be sending a terrible message about justice to the students, as the punishment you are doling out overshadows the “crime.”
I hope you will reconsider your plans. I can see no legitimate reason for continuing with them.
